I CAN DO ALL THIS…

ART – PHOTOGRAPHY – DESIGN

Reflecting…
I’ve just got home from what was an intense but incredible week in Fremantle for our @artsix_official creative hub and exhibition.
For those that do not know, I am a co-founder and part of a small team that runs ArtsiX events along with @kavtemperley @bethtemperley and @pedrogrande

What is it you ask…
We run a week long creative hub where we put a bunch of incredibly talented visual artists and musicians together in groups with the goal to create (and finish) an immersive piece of digital art set to music, from scratch, each day.
This week we had 5 groups of 4-5 incredible artists, 3 creation days, so we finished with 15 amazing artworks that are all animated and have stunning music.
We then put on an exhibition of the works at the end of the week.
It’s a lot, but it is so worth it!
This year we had yet another stellar group of artists and musicians including:

@jaelaffer @killqueenie @tinymusicrecordings @dylan_ollivierre @michaelellerymedia @georgikay @combs_vj @4thperspectivephotography @preme.studio @hotline_nothing @nathan_john_thompson @nicrollo_ @elliotsmithsounds @kira.gunn_harp @trianglethea @juniploves @kristierowe_artist @freocreative
@thomberard @deannamosca

It’s such a buzz to collaborate and create in this way. As I said at the top, it’s intense and inspiring. It’s challenging and so rewarding. Every time we walk away completely blown away with what is created and also with a new bunch of talented friends that are part of the growing family/community. It always leads to other collaborations outside of the event too.

Massive thanks to all the beautiful humans that took part this year! Big love to you all!

Side note: The photo is one I took of the most awesome @thomberard when we took a walk after some heavy rain.

Have you been waiting long?

Hand drawn digital lines and a line landscape generated from one of my photos…
The second slide shows the starting point that I made in an app called Silk.
It all comes together in Photoshop with texture and the 3d figure I created with Make Human and Blender.
There’s a few processes here, but I love making all of the parts and then piecing it together…
